Brian Entin NewsNation
Brian is a senior correspondent for NewsNation, but before stepping into this role, he was a local reporter at WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida. During his time there, he covered some major hurricanes, including Dorian in the Bahamas, Irma in the Florida Keys, and the recovery efforts after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. He also spent a significant chunk of the first 100 days of Trump’s presidency reporting from Washington, D.C.
Entin really made a name for himself during the 2021 Gabby Petito murder investigation. He camped out for six weeks right next to the home of the suspected murderer, Brian Laundrie, in North Port, Florida. While there, he delivered exclusive reports and interviewed witnesses, law enforcement, federal officials, and even online sleuths. In early 2025, he circled back to the case for an exclusive interview with Gabby Petito’s parents, which garnered a lot of media buzz.
He also took the lead on the tragic murder of four University of Idaho college students. Brian spent several months in Idaho and was the first national reporter on the scene in Effort, Pennsylvania, when they arrested suspect Bryan Kohberger. Additionally, he played a crucial role in launching NewsNation’s “Missing” persons series, which has spotlighted over 75 cases and helped bring closure to more than 20 families.
Brian’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed; he’s snagged Emmy Awards for his reporting on the aftermath of the Fuego volcano eruption in Guatemala and for his coverage of Fidel Castro’s death. In a 2023 profile, Vanity Fair dubbed Entin a “star” who “barely slept” and dives deep into the stories he covers.
