In the meantime, they returned to the grind of regular employment; initially, LaPlante took on a waitressing role, while Stringer took on delivering pizzas.
Later on, the pair found themselves working together as data entry clerks. Their project hit a snag as they struggled to secure a record label for tour financing. However, on October 9, 2017, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo proudly unveiled the birth of their band, Spiritbox, rooted in their hometown of Victoria. Their journey reached a milestone when the band released their debut full-length album, “Eternal Blue,” in September 2021, earning widespread critical acclaim.
