Additionally, he played a vital role in the search for Monica Sykes, a missing Berkeley woman, and was the first reporter at the scene when her remains were discovered. Gerron’s dedication to delivering timely news took him to his hometown of Chicago, where he provided extensive coverage of the historic 2016 World Series win by the Cubs. In 2017, he reported live from New Orleans, bringing exclusive updates when a St. Louis resident was tragically injured by a drunk driver during the Mardi Gras festivities.
Prior to his time in St. Louis, Gerron’s journalism career took him to stations in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
