When she was a national correspondent for CNN Newsource, her stories and live reports aired on CNN’s network of over 1,000 affiliates. During her time there, she covered the 2018 midterm elections extensively and created a voter issue series that took her across the country to show what Americans cared about the most. Holmes also covered some of the most important non-political stories in the country, including Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the Las Vegas shooting, and a trip to Guam to cover the escalating tensions between the United States and North Korea. Holmes began her career at CNN as an intern for Piers Morgan Live after graduating from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism. She went on to work as an editorial producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper, a CNN producer in the White House, and a CNN producer with the 2016 Trump campaign after her internship. She also worked as a producer in Washington, D.C., on several projects with Katie Couric at Yahoo and News Channel 8.
In November, she made the move of a lifetime to beautiful Northern California, joining ABC10 News in Sacramento. When she isn’t chasing stories, Keristen can be found volunteering in the communities she serves. “You can’t be something you can’t see,” she explains.
