Kristin Fisher is an American journalist and former television news anchor who currently works as a White House correspondent for Fox News. She is currently a Space & Defense journalist for CNN. She presently works for CNN as a Space & Defense correspondent.

Fisher joined CNN as a reporter where she serves as its Space & Defense correspondent. She joined CNN in July 2021 as the network’s Space and Defense Correspondent. In 2015, she took over as a general assignment reporter in Fox News’ Washington bureau from Molly Henneberg. Fisher’s bureau chief offered her the position of White House reporter a few days before Thanksgiving 2019, but he couldn’t tell her what the job entailed because he was only authorized to insinuate that it was a position she would be interested in. Fisher had intended to host a Christmas feast for visitors, including family members who had come to town for a visit, but the mystery piqued her interest, and she accepted the responsibility since she trusted her commander. She was directed to bring warm clothing and meet a man in a parking garage in Washington, D.C. the day before Thanksgiving, whom she mistook for a Secret Service agent.
Kristin was subsequently flown to Joint Base Andrews from West Palm Beach, Florida, where she was forced to have all of her electronic devices temporarily confiscated. Fisher was the lone journalist on board when President Donald Trump boarded the plane back to Andrews. She and Trump boarded Air Force One back at Andrews for a flight to Afghanistan, where Trump would meet with US soldiers and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to discuss reopening Taliban talks. In Trump’s attorneys’ claims of significant election fraud in November 2020, Fisher pointed out discrepancies and a lack of evidence. She made a reference to Rudy Giuliani. “What he says in public, not on oath, differs from what he says in court.”
She did the same thing with President Trump’s comments in December after several Republican judges and Trump-nominated public employees had dismissed charges of election fraud. Fisher announced his departure from Fox News in early 2021. Fisher joined Fox News rival CNN in July 2021 as a Space & Defense correspondent after leaving Fox. Fisher received an Emmy Award in 2010 for her bi-weekly programs on heroes in the greater Washington area. Fisher also started Field Mouse Documentaries, a documentary film firm that produces films for both news sources and corporate clients.
