Sara Donchey has come full circle, returning to her roots where it all began. Following her college years, Sara began her career as a production assistant at KPIX 5. Now, she’s back at the station, this time as the anchor for the 11 p.m. newscast.
In the interim, Sara gained valuable experience working as a reporter and anchor for CBS2 and KCAL9. After her initial stint at KPIX, she ventured to South Texas, taking on the role of a multimedia journalist at KRIS-TV and KZTV, both part of a duopoly station located in Corpus Christi. There, she reported for the evening newscasts and served as an anchor for the station’s weekend evening shows.
In 2015, Sara made the move to Houston, where she took on the roles of anchor and reporter at KPRC-TV. At KPRC, she anchored the 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. broadcasts, with a career that took her across the country to cover major events such as two Super Bowls, the 2016 Dallas Police shooting, and the San Bernardino terror attack.
