He gained fame after acting in the Fox series Prison Break as Michael Scofield, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama in 2005. He began his acting career with the 2013 thriller film Stoker, which was followed by a recurring part on The CW’s The Flash, which led to him becoming a series regular on the spin-off Legends of Tomorrow.
