Zach Gilford is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Matt Saracen on the NBC sports drama Friday Night Lights. He appeared in the Netflix horror limited series Midnight Mass in 2021. In 2022, he will also appear in the horror series The Midnight Club.

That same year, he made his feature film debut as a co-star in The Last Winter. He made a cameo in the film Rise: Blood Hunter and appeared on Grey’s Anatomy. Zach was cast in another Fox medical drama, The Mob Doctor, opposite Jordana Spiro, but it was canceled after 13 episodes. In January 2013, he co-starred in The Last Stand with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He also co-starred in Devil’s Due (2014), a horror film set in New Orleans and the Dominican Republic that was released on January 17, 2014. He played Danny Warren in the ABC drama series The Family in 2016. Gilford appeared as Conner Hooks in the YouTube Red futuristic web series Lifeline in 2017. Gilford has had a recurring role as Gregg in the NBC series Good Girls since 2018. Gilford was cast as Ben Walker in the Bad Boys spinoff drama L.A.’s Finest in 2019.
