Wyatt, initially wrestling under various names in WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), achieved success alongside his brother by winning the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship twice. In 2010-2011, he briefly appeared on WWE’s main roster as Husky Harris, a member of The Nexus.
Upon his return to WWE’s rebranded developmental territory, NXT, Wyatt transformed and emerged as the sinister leader of The Wyatt Family, a bayou-dwelling cult. This marked the beginning of his impactful career on the main roster, where he won titles such as the WWE Championship, WWE Universal Championship, SmackDown Tag Team Championship, and Raw Tag Team Championship.
Following a hiatus from August 2018 to April 2019, Wyatt returned with a split personality gimmick. He alternated between portraying Bray Wyatt, a character reminiscent of Mr. Rogers, and The Fiend, a grotesque monster with an evil clown appearance. Despite being released from WWE in July 2021, Wyatt made a surprising comeback at the 2022 Extreme Rules with a new character claiming to be his “real-life” self, incorporating elements of his previous personas.
In his sole televised match during this return at the 2023 Royal Rumble, he defeated LA Knight. Tragically, the following month, Wyatt took a medical hiatus due to a COVID-19 diagnosis that worsened a pre-existing heart condition. On August 24, 2023, at the age of 36, he passed away due to a heart attack, leaving behind a legacy in the world of professional wrestling.
