Prior to joining KPRC, she served as a fill-in anchor and a general assignment reporter for five years at KSTU-TV, in Salt Lake City, Utah. While in Utah, she anchored the news in the morning, noon and at 9 pm. She began her career at KMID-TV in Midland, Texas, where she worked as the first assignment reporter for the station. She also served as a weekend news anchor for the station from 1996 to 1997 and later she became the main anchor at the station.
