Lori Prichard is an Emmy award-winning American journalist, anchor, and reporter currently working as a news anchor at KSL 5, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Before joining KSL 5, she previously served as an anchor and reporter for four years at KJRH, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Prichard joined KSL 5 TV as a news reporter in 2007. She also served as an investigative reporter as well as a general assignment reporter. In 2011, she was voted as the Best TV News Reporter by the Utah Society of Professional Journalists.

In 2010, she won the Don Barker Investigative Reporting Award. Her job experience in 2011, her stories led to four separate changes in Utah law. Before joining KSL 5, she previously served as an anchor and reporter for four years at KJRH, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She left the station in December 2006. On January 6, 2020, at the start of the 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. co-anchor, Dan Spindle welcomed Prichard back to their sho “KSL Today” newscasts. The last time she was on air was Aug. 16, the day her husband died. She had planned to return to the station in November 2019 but she realized she was not ready for work.

Lori had no information that her husband Scott was suffering from depression until the past two years she found and read her journals. Her husband kept his depression to himself after she tried to engage him with what he was feeling.

One week after her husband’s death, Lori perused through his mobile phone and recognized that he made a call to a toll-free number, a national suicide hotline and he had talked for 14 minutes. The call was placed the day before he died.
