Nicole currently serves as a news anchor and reporter at WPLG Local 10 News in Miami, Florida. She joined the station as a morning traffic reporter in July 2016. Before joining WPLG, she served for more than 9 years at WSVN-TV as a graphic designer for the Miami Heat’s television network, Heat TV.

While working at Local 10 News as a reporter, she had the chance to travel to Normandy, France to report on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. She also traveled to Rome, Italy reporting Holy Week and to Paris, France to cover the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral. She also reported Hurricane Irma in 2017 and traveled to Puerto Rico to report on the damage left behind after Hurricane Maria. She also reported various local stories and after traveling to Normandy, France, she found a special connection to the WWII veterans in our community and has proudly told their stories.

Nicole after working as a traffic reporter got a promotion to become an evening anchor position and currently, she serves as the main co-anchor of Local 10 News at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Perez when not on-air, she likes running and going to the gym. She has run five half-marathons in various U.S. cities and won first place in an NPC women’s figure competition. Nicole is so grateful to be telling the stories of our community, her hometown of South Florida.
