Pete Grigsby is an American broadcast Meteorologist currently serving as a weather forecaster for the KMBC 9 First Alert Weather Team in Kansas City. He has been delivering various weather reports for the station for almost two decades now. Previously, Pete worked as a meteorologist for several media stations in Indiana, Kentucky and Virginia. He is also the director of BSSD Media and works as a part-time high school instructor.

Grigsby joined the KMBC 9 News in Kansas City as a weather reporter back in 1990. Therefore, he has been working for the Channel 9 First Alert Weather Team for the past 25 years now. Pete first began his career on Television by working as an intern for various stations in Missouri while he was still in college. He was then hired as a full-time meteorologist for WTKR CBS news in Norfolk, Virginia where he worked for two years.
Grigsby also worked as a weather reporter and anchor for WEVV TV in Evansville, Indiana for close to two years before moving to Kansas City. His interest and passion for weather began when he was a young age. However, he decided to switch up his career and accepted to work as a supervisor for BSSD Radio stations and BSSD TV for its high schools.
