Brewer held the positions of vice president, senior vice president, executive vice president for southeastern operations, and executive vice president for the eastern business unit while working for Walmart. Brewer began her career as a regional vice president of operations in Georgia. She rose through the ranks from regional vice president of operations in Georgia to division president of Walmart’s southeast market and then president of Walmart East. Brewer left Walmart in 2012 to become the president and CEO of Sam’s Club, a membership-only retail warehouse club owned by Walmart.
