Greener began his career in show business at Medina/Pollack Entertainment. He worked with Benny Medina to manage Will Smith and the production of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. While at Medina/Pollack, Steven produced the feature film Above the Rim for New Line Cinema. Before becoming an executive producer, Steven worked as a production assistant on the 1996 films Miracle Beach and Sketch Artist. He worked as an associate producer on the film Above the Rim in 1996. In 1995, his first project as an executive producer was Sommore B*tch House, a TV special documentary. Steven began working for Elephant Walk Entertainment in 1993.
