Greener began his career in show business at Medina/Pollack Entertainment. He worked with Benny Medina to manage Will Smith and the production of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. While at Medina/Pollack, Steven produced the feature film Above the Rim for New Line Cinema. Before becoming an executive producer, Steven worked as a production assistant on the 1996 films Miracle Beach and Sketch Artist. He worked as an associate producer on the film Above the Rim in 1996.
