Perry Russom is an American Emmy award-winning journalist and reporter currently working as a correspondent of “The News with Shepard Smith” at CNBC. He joined CNBC in September 2021. He began his on-air career as a reporter and weekend anchor for WBNG in Binghamton, New York followed by two years as a reporter for WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island.

In September 2021, Russom joined CNBC as a CNBC Correspondent for “The News with Shepard Smith.” Russom, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, previously worked at NBC10 and NECN in Boston as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. He began his broadcasting career as a reporter and weekend anchor for WBNG in Binghamton, New York, before moving on to WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island, for two years. He began his journalism career at the age of 18 with KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia and later interned at NBC Philadelphia and NBC Sports for the London Olympics. Russom joined NBC 10 Boston and necn in October 2016. Perry won an Emmy for Outstanding Reporter in the year 2000. He comes from WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island. He started on-air in Binghamton, New York as a reporter/weekend anchor for WBNG-TV. Perry got his start in news at the age of 18 working for CBS Radio’s KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia.
