She joined the CBS network in October 2011. Before joining CBS 2, she served as a meteorologist and reporter for five years at WTKR, a CBS affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a member of both the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA).
Murdock began her meteorological career at WCAV/WVAW/WAHU in Central Virginia.
